Who we are

RegsCheck is an online service that connects UK electricians with EESS battery storage training providers. Contact: office@regscheck.co.uk

What we collect

When you complete the qualification check, we collect your postcode and qualification answers. If you request course availability from a training centre, we also collect your mobile number and optionally your name and email address. We record your IP address for spam and fraud prevention.

How we use your information

Your contact details are passed to the training centre you selected so they can call you back with course dates. Your qualification answers are used to match you to appropriate courses and are shared with the training centre as background context. We do not sell your data to any third party.

Lawful basis

We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests. Our legitimate interest is connecting electricians with relevant training, and the training centres with qualified candidates. You can object to this processing at any time by contacting us.

Data retention

Enquiry records are kept for 24 months. Waitlist email addresses are kept until you ask to be removed or a provider joins your area. IP addresses used for fraud prevention are retained for 90 days.

Third-party processors

Your data is stored and processed using Neon (database), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting). These are infrastructure providers operating under their own data protection policies. Training centres you contact receive only the data described above.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site may set a short-lived technical cookie to support form submissions. No analytics platform is running on this site.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@regscheck.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.

Complaints

If you believe your data has been handled incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
